Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia
Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia - IMT is a private, non-profit organization. Its main objective is to promote technical-scientific education, technological research and development aiming to provide highly qualified human resources to contribute to the socioeconomic development of Brazil.
IMT was founded on December 11, 1961 its headquarters is located at Rua Pedro de Toledo, 1071 in São Paulo city. The institute maintains two units: the Centro Universitário and the Technical Services and Tests Center and two campi: one in São Paulo city and the other in São Caetano do Sul.
The headquarter of the two units is located at IMT campus in São Caetano do Sul at Praça Maua, 1 with a constricted area of 130,000m², 12km from São Paulo city center. In this campus the Centro Universitário offers undergraduate courses in Engineering, Design, Administrations and Higher Education Certificate.
The Mauá Business School and the Continuous Education Center are installed at the IMT campus in São Paulo, at Rua Pedro de Toledo,1071.
* "Centro Universitário" is a denomination of the Brazilian Ministry of Education to identify multicurricular higher level educational Institutions, involving one or more areas of knowledge, which are characterized by: the excellence of the teaching provided, the qualification of their faculty and the conditions of the academic work offered to the college community, according to the standards established by the Ministry of Education for their accreditation?
The IMT Centro Universitário has 400 Faculty Members, from which 65% have a PhD degree or a Master degree.
The Centro Universitário has 350 Faculty Members, 40% of them have doctor degree, 40% have master degree and 20% are specialists in their field.
The Centro Universitário has agreements with national and international education organizations for the development of scientific and technological research activities and exchange of faculty members and students.
